5. About the courses:-
1) Mechanical Engineering:- Mechanical Engineering Department comprises of various categories of mechanical works . Welding, foundry, carpentry, painting and sheet metal shops are equipped with some of the latest & most sophisticated machines & tools like power press, pneumatic drill machine, all geared central lathe, lathe machines, milling machine, tool grinder etc. and also with well-equipped labs like thermal engineering, strength of material, hydraulics, materials & metallurgy conforming to the norms & standard laid down by the AICTE.
2) Electronics & Communication Engineering:- This course has been designed to provide in depth knowledge of theory & practical in the emerging & latest areas of electronics e.g. communication system, advanced communication., T. V. Engineering, microprocessor, digital system design etc. This course aims at making the students capable of testing & using different electronic devices, fabricating & maintaining professional and medical instruments, making and interpreting technical drawing, maintaining communication system, understanding industrial processes and communicating effectively.
After completion of the course students become eligible to get jobs in Electronics, Communication & Computer industries as technicians, supervisors, production supervisors, sales and service engineer etc. In Govt. sectors, they get jobs in police, defense laboratories, AIR, Doordarshan, DMRC, MTNL, VSNL, BSNL, Airport Authority and also in polytechnics. The diploma holders can become successful entrepreneurs in the field of repair and maintenance of electronic items; devices & can start his own industries.

7. Training
& Placement Programmes: - Institute
placement cell is working actively towards placement of the students through
campus interview. Placement of students are also done through “Job Awsar”, a common platform provided by DT&TE every
year in which more than 100 reputed companies of various fields like DMRC,
Asian Paints, Voltas Ltd, Maruti
Suzuki Ltd, EICHOR Motors, Larson and Turbo Ltd, OTIS Ltd, ESCORTS Ltd, Shyam Telecom Pvt. Ltd, Moserbaer
Pvt. Ltd., HCL Infosys Pvt. Ltd, Reliance Industries,
AIRTEL, BHEL etc. participate and place various students of Govt. & private
polytechnic by taking three or four round of written test, interview, G.D. etc.
Apart from this institute placement cell keeps close liaison with the industry
for industrial training of the students, as a part of their curriculum.
Educational/Industrial visit are arranged to the industry and other
establishments for the students to know actual state of art technology, as the
technology is changing fast and does not match with the designed curriculum and
also to familiars students with industrial enviourment, because after passing
the diploma they have to go in industries for job. To enrich their knowledge,
visits are arranged in
8. Industry-Institute Partnership:- In modern fast changing technology it is very- very essential to have industry-institute interaction. Considering this point the institute is always contacting the local industries from time to time. Also the renowned persons from near by industries are invited to deliver the speech to the students.
9.Awards/Recognitions/Achievements at
the level of staff/students and institution:-

10. Infrastructure
View: - The institute is having sufficient furniture, accessesories,
equipment, machines etc. a well developed computer lab with internet facility,
library with sufficient books and journal, workshop and laboratories etc. with
required machines and equipments as per the syllabus. The G.S. Mandal has purchased a land of 5 Acre 105 biswas for its own constructions of building in
11. Events Brief:- Seminar/Expert lecturer/Workshop/Paper presentation/Extra curricular
- The institute is working for updating the skill and knowledge for teaching
and technical staff by sponsoring them for various seminar, workshop, and
short-term courses. Also the institute is trying to get registered with ISTE
and to arrange the ISTE programme in future in institute.
- In addition to this institute carries out co-curriculum activities like sports,
cultural programmes, debate, quiz etc. to develop overall personality of
the students.
- In last academic year the institute has arranged seminar on “Drugs Abuse”
through Narconon International Organization,
benefit of the students. Experts from industries and prestigious technical
institutions like IIT were invited to deliver the view.
- A guest lecturer on “the life of Mr. Bill gates” were also delivered last year
by foreign imminent personality Dr. Labshetwar.
12.Expert lecturer:- The well known authorities from IIT Delhi had been invited in this institute to give the guidelines to the students for research & development in various equipments. They have advised the students regarding the development made in any small machine which are used in day to day life. The financial aid details have been told to the students. Also efforts are being made to arrange the lecture from well know personality form industries, technical field and non-technical field.
